At approx. 7:40 pm the HVFD was dispatched to a reported oven fire at 1260 Midline Road. Upon arrival, initial units found a light smoke condition inside however no fire visible. The home owner extinguished the fire just prior to our arrival. The interior teams found the cause of the fire to be as a result from Tupperware being left inside the oven. The homeowner did not realize the Tupperware was stored inside the oven prior to turning the oven on to preheat. The damage was contained to the oven. One resident was checked out at the scene for smoke inhalation. All units were clear and in service shortly after.
